Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

never fear the blazers are here!

yes, we got eliminated from the playoff race (not yet officially, but 99.9% chance), so now what? do we cry at home and stop watching basketball until next season? hell no! lets find a second team to root for, one which has done us no harm (lakers, spurs - burn in hell). what better team than the blazers? after all, sergio rodriguez and rudy fernandez should have been our players anyway (sad but true). so lets jump on the blazers bandwagon, after all dont you miss our suns of never getting over the hump after getting our hopes up? lets go blazers!

well actually

I like the hornets very much, and out east: the heat and pistons (for wade and AI) and boston (and one more thing: I’ve been supporting them since 98, just like the suns. fuck bandwagoneering)

I'm a fan of the phoenix suns.

Not so much the rest of NBA.

it1s a bit different for me

I’m from middle-Europe it’s easier to bond to more teams, for some reason or other (like players and such)

I can't cheer for them, either

I hold a grudge from the early 90s

Mmmmm ... Guinness

funny - I've always felt the same way about the Suns

those early 90’s playoff series were pretty intense.

sorry about the way the season ended – I hope it all shakes out well for you in the offseason

that's a tough one...

in the west:

Lakers, Spurs- out of the question
Denver- Camelo’s a Punk and after Nene and his headbutt, I just can’t do it ( on another note, isn’t this guy one of LB’s best friends?? wtf…)
New Orleans- not too bad..exciting ball, but with injuries etc, I don’t have high hopes
Utah- kind of impartial..no jerks on the team, and It;d be cool to see Sloan finally get it
Portland-fun young team to watch, fans are not too annoying
Dallas-1st round fodder, not worth the emotional investment
Houston- hmm it’s hard to root for Ronnie, but everyone else is not too bad..

so I guess it comes down to utah or portland for me..in the east it’s gotta be 1. Boston, my 2nd favorite team 2. Charlotte ( if they can sneak in ) because that way, at least a couple suns will make it in and 3. Cleveland, not because I like them, but because a strong east is the only safeguard against a Laker Championship, which I can’t bear to see. Kind of like allying with the Soviet Union to take down the Nazis…

I'll go with Utah

I think… I don’t know.. =(

no jerks?

boozer, anyone?

Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr

by Murcy on Apr 6, 2009 4:39 PM MDT up reply actions

Exactly...

Boozer is ruthless, he lied to a blind guy, Gordon Gund, former owner of the Cavs, then took the money to come to Utah. Screw Utah! I’m cool with either Portland, New Orleans, maybe even Houston or Denver, but the rest them can go to hell.

From the East, it won’t matter, cuz Cleveland is winning the East going away.

by Aluminum Foyle on Apr 6, 2009 5:58 PM MDT up reply actions

wow really?

it seems I’ve got alot to learn about boozer…

oh well, to hell with the jazz!!! HELL I SAY!!!

by Fritzy on Apr 6, 2009 6:20 PM MDT up reply actions

Does it make it worse

that the Cav´s owner was blind?

The Blazers will beat the Lakers on the Conference Semis. Book it!

by Falcao on Apr 7, 2009 6:38 AM MDT up reply actions

Jazz fans are totally classless as well...

We all remember how they booed Derek Fisher, when he left town cuz he wanted to take care of his daughter’s eye.

by Aluminum Foyle on Apr 7, 2009 11:26 AM MDT up reply actions

Remember the guy that was covering one of his eyes

When Fisher was shooting a free throw? That was cold.

Out of loyalty for the Suns

I will be cheering for the East.

Not the Celtics tho.

by magenta on Apr 6, 2009 6:50 PM MDT reply actions

I can't cheer for anyone in the West.

I’m going for the Cavs because I want LeBron to win his first championship. It sucks that Phoenix is out but I have to cheer for someone.

Blazer Fans not too annoying?

They annoy me and I’m a Blazer fan. I annoy myself
