Opening Day! D Backs bomb Rockies 9-8

Baseball season has official begun in Phoenix.

Azsnakepit_medium

I am a casual fan given the amount of time it takes for me to truly get into baseball. By that I mean my nature is to do thing full on. I am not a half-assed kind of guy. Watching and fully enjoying baseball therefor takes a level of commitment from me that I simply can't fit into my already overbooked life.

That's not to say I don't love baseball and I am a D-backs fan (despite the idiotic uniform color change from purple to red). To keep up on what's going on I am a frequent lurker visitor over at the fantastic AZ Snakepit. I've had the pleasure of meeting Jim the proprieter of said site and can tell you that you won't find a better blogger anywhere. Great guy. Great site. If you are even a casual D-backs fan like me I highly recommend you check him out.

Play ball!

Baseball=watching paint dry.

NBA=root canal without Novocain.

Root canals?

I’ve had one, and it hurts like hell. But it definitely wasn’t boring.

Can't think of a baseball

game that was boring either….

I take it you are no fan of a great pitchers duel?

I suppose football (as it is called in the rest of the world) is boring too?

I love baseball

best game I ever saw EVER was Shilling vs Morris in game 5 of the NLDS in 2001. 1-0 until the 8th inning..1-1 going into the 9th when Tony Womack won the game

In fact that was by far the best live sporting event I’ve every attended

The Snakepit

is indeed a very good site.

I’m also somewhat biased.

I think

This is the earliest I have ever been excited about baseball, I blame the Suns.
