No offense to NBA owners, but they do not have to work that hard to market their product. The NBA generally sells itself. The WNBA is different. Using the NBA model is not going to work with the WNBA. The WNBA requires a far more grassroots approach and the billionaire owners of NBA franchises likely are not the best candidates to run effective grassroots programs.

Yes but...
you should come up with a corny ass name like WTLC. Yours could be Hot Links, Sunburned Links, or Massive Solar Heat Source Links.

Improvements
Get rid of the WNBA stuff once and for all, and you might have something.

Not going to happen
I am enjoying watching and writing about actual basketball far more then starting and/or spreading random trade rumors and whatever else passes for off season discussion.

Comments on the links...
1. Of course Nash wants to play for the Knicks. He reached his professional pinnacle playing for D’Antoni. That’s why we should be thinking about a deal for David Lee and the Knicks #1 pick for Nash. It’s a no-brainer.
2. Stoudemire should be thinking of one thing, and one thing only. If he develops a sky hook and maybe some semblance of a dream shake, and stays motivated on defense, he WILL break the bank, not just talk about it. Right now, what motivation do the Suns have to resign him to a max deal, except for the fear of losing him?
3. Robert Horry to the Hall of Fame? I guess in the same sense that the Hall might want Roger Clemens’ jock strap, since the ’strap was there for the champiionships.

Nash was being polite..
Just like if someone has mutant kids, you don’t say “Oh my dear God, from what wasteland did these little piles of random genetic mucus rise??”, you say “what delightful children”

Thats how I took it too..
Btw, I was wondering when someone was gonna bring up the skyhook topic from ESPN.. A skyhook would be great from Amare, but I don’t think that’s his game and I’d rather he be working on other things in the offseason (defense).

Amare off season
The defense is desire, not offseason workouts. And it is obvious from Amare’s game that he needs some moves. Right now, he shoots jump shots and goes to the hoop only when Shaq is not in the way. The whole league is watching for the pick and roll, and for two years, they have managed to stifle it because Amare either drops the pass or runs over the help defender. Good Lord, the guy is so talented, he scores 20-25 points a game without any post moves. For a guy that athletic, this is a waste of talent.
A sky hook or sweet little turnaround 8 footer would keep the defenders honest. Right now, an opposing coach will say, when Amare comes into the lane, rotate the second defender, and he will run over you every time. It’s as though Amare thinks he can will defenders out of his way because they are afraid of him. They are no longer afraid of him.
Add some post moves, and you have the equivalent of a Karl Malone/Connie Hawkins combination. That guy scores 35 a game.
