Why not Bosh or Boozer..
or any other star forward to try to trade for stoudemire. The GSW rumor is good enuf with S. Curry or Randlolph but i dont think GSW would give em up. Bosh would be better an instant replacement , might not be as explosive as Amare but definitely more dependable and willing to defend/ rebound and can run with Nash. Colangelo just might bite making sure Raptorsget something for Bosh who they can extend if his eye/ knee turn out ok have free cap space by 2010.
Boozer would be tricky as we'll probably need a third team - i doubt if Sloan would like a defensive stiff like Stoudemire; but i think the Jazz are also looking coz Boozer can go to Pistons or other teams as a free agent. This way theyget something for him. Concern of course is if he can play up-tempo. But i like Boozers toughness.

The only reason the Raptors would trade Bosh is because they aren’t sure he’ll re-sign.
Amar’e presents the exact same concerns.
Boozer, eh. Still would rather have Amar’e. Of course, he’s one of my favorite players, so I don’t know if he’s that much better.

Agreed about Bosh with J-Gao….
Seriously, many of us fail to understand the concept of rebuilding or blowing up the team or whatever…We are not going to trade one highly talented but flawed player with contractual issues (we don’t want to pay him what he wants) for another.
I said this in another thread, and if I’m wrong, all, please correct me….The Suns are not out to find another veteran with a big contract. They want young talent. Young CHEAP talent….I know it’s painful to grasp and accept, but our team next year will probably not be very good. Even if we have Nash, and don’t assume he will be on our squad either….
Suns fans-this is a true test of our fandom….You’re team is on the verge of a major change…It’s gut check time y’all, how true of a fan are you?

i think bosh...
would definitely bail out of toronto and this might trigger Colangelo to look at trades more willingly. i agree Suns would be taking a chance then that he wont resign – but we have same problem with Amare unless Suns give him the maximum (18mil?) with all the uncertainty sorrounding him – eyes, knees, willingness to improve defensively. i just thought bosh would be the player to risk on.
Boozer – i think he’s definitely the better player – i just dont know how he’ll fit in with Nash though.

Boozer;s going to opt out before anyone gets a chance to trade him.
Plus, who said he was good defensively? Boozer is probably as close to, without actually being as good as, Amare Stoudemire as I ever want on the Suns.
Bosh is a good player. Phoenix needs a league-best player. That’s how it’s going to win a championship. To be perfectly honest, think Tim Duncan. A curse word in Suns land, I know, but a welcome addition considering his league-best defensive talent and rebounding.

boozer is injured always just to start, but also the fact that he’s a free agent could pose a problem, the doctors and trainers and sunshine are awesome in Phoenix, and if healthy Boozy is one of the best bigs in the league, but i don’t think it’s worth the risk.
