Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

The details just came out and they aren't good for the super star...

Results of a blood draw showed Taurasi was driving her 2006 Land Rover with a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 percent, or more than twice the Arizona legal limit of 0.08 percent, according to a Phoenix police report released today.

These athletes are rich enough to hire a driver or something...boggles my mind when they get pulled over driving drunk

Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."

And now go back to her "apology".

Not a thought for the people she potentially endangered.

Who are these guys again?

Turasi DUI...

I don’t condone it, don’t defend it, it’s really, really wrong. But to answer your question on “who are these guys again”….just normal people who sometimes make mistakes. And since there’s more of “us” than there are of “them”, we do it more often. But because “we” aren’t in the public eye, we aren’t in the paper when we do it. How many times have you driven home after having a few after happy hour???

You’re right in that with that kind of money, they can afford to have a driver take them home. But then, how much does a taxi cost for the rest of us? Probably less than the bar tab and defintely less than the cost of the DUI. It’s not the money, it’s ego. We ALL think we’re ok and can drive home. Most of us aren’t. But then you have to ask…do celebs get pulled over because they do it more than normal people….or because they’re being watched more than normal people?? Things that make you go…hmmm? Still wrong, but something to consider.

"These" athletes actually AREN'T rich enough to hire a driver

WNBA players max out at 93k. So unless they living in the hood, they can’t really afford to be driven all over the place.

That all being said, this was not the brightest move. But again, we make a big deal about it because these people are well known. If DT wasn’t an athlete, would this even make the news? So let’s not hold her to a higher standard. She screwed up, but she’s human, and these things happen.

As Fun said, lots of people drink and drive, and most don’t get caught. It’s a sad but true situation

Surely DT can afford a taxi.
