J-Dub a good backup PG?
With Jason Williams being waived by the Clips (article), I began to reminisce about the many Kings and Heat games I watched where Jason matured from an "And 1 Mix Tape" type entertainer on the court to a solid point guard that helped lead the Heat to their championship with Shaq.
I wonder if J-Dub would be interested in hanging with Steve Nash for the next few years as a solid backup while Goran continues to mature. I thought Goran played better as a 2 last year than as a 1, since it took the pressure off. That's not necessarily the best way to learn and grow, but I always enjoyed watching Williams play.
He's probably hoping to get signed by a contender, so it's probably all a moot point anyway, but what is the blogosphere good for if not for fantasizing about unlikely possibilities?

I thought Williams retired. Either way, no. And no to Tinsley as well. I’d rather Dragic get the minutes and have Barbosa pick up some time here and there as needed. It does appear that Dowdell will be #13 on the roster. He is described as pure point guard, and of course, he’s very cheap, which is key.

I hope you're right
Dowdell would be a great pick-up. Even though we all wish they would get some front court bulk, I think it’s safe to say that unless the suns find something out there with the Sasha contract, Zabian at 13 makes the roster complete.

i think it's funny how...
dowdell missed out on the draft because he wasn’t the “pure point guard” coming out of college, more of a combo guard. and now, after summer league, everyone’s calling him a pure point guard. haha.

J-Will
I’d love to see him. He was so creative and flashy in his prime. He’s a talented player.

I really don't think he'll end up here
He tried to get back into the L last February to jump onto a championship team but the league blocked it. Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, and San Antonio could all use him as a backup.
J-Will would seemingly fit best as Nash’s backup, though…it’s certainly an interesting idea. I could see Cleveland taking a flyer on him too.

THE BEST OF BREAKING NEWS, WITH HOOKEDONPHOENIX. J-Will retired, like, three months ago.
When fictionally asked to comment on the state of the Phoenix Suns, GM Steve Kerr said, "Arizona."

Perfect
That’s great if he’s retired. Sarver could sign him cheap and he’s still younger than Nash and Grant Hill
