Matrix to Mavericks is heating up

Marc Stein of ESPN.com reported that 4 teams are apparently involved in the potential Shawn Marion sign and trade deal between the Dallas Mavericks and the Toronto Raptors.  The Memphis Grizzlies are the rumored third team, with the fourth still unknown at this time.  As I said before, as much as I love Shawn Marion, and would love to see him finish his career here in the Valley, there was nothing to justify his return for himself.  With what transpired over the last year and a half with the organization as a whole, what free-agent wouldn't be inclined to take his act to a team with the opportunity to contend?  If a team like Cleveland still has their mid-level exception available, then why would I consider going back home to re-build, with the chance that Steve Nash may not be around long anyway.  With Jason Kidd inked for another 3 years, (which was stupid on Cuban's part, but he's been known to panic) Marion will have the opportunity to exploit his ability in a system somewhat similar to here in PHX.  I know Suns fans don't want to hear this but if I was Marion, coming home to Phoenix would be last on my wish list.
