Another Goggles Update
JSun2 has been diagnosed with bilateral amblyopia. Which apparently means that since we've caught it now, he should have fairly normal vision if he consistently wears his corrective lenses (glasses) for a few years. If we hadn't caught this within the next couple of years, though, it could have caused him to go legally blind.
In an effort to cheer him up about wearing glasses, I went searching for images of Amare dunking with glasses on. I was having trouble finding anything in action (most of it was just him interviewing with glasses or goggles on). The good people over at the Suns' marketing department found this one of Stoudemire going over Duncan. Double bonus. I hope you can enjoy.

as a legally blind person
I can honestly say it’s not so bad. Granted I’ve been legally blind since birth so I dont know anything else… There are a lot of perks though… handicapped parking for when people give me rides, scholarship opportunities, discounted public transit, airline preboarding etc. lol Fortunately though you said it was correctable, so JSun2 wearing glasses for a few years wont be half bad. :)
Anyway, I wish you and your family well.

wow
glad you caught that early! now let’s hope Amare lives up to his role model duties (on both ends of the floor b/c I know JSun2 appreciates defense and rebounding as much as dunking)

I did find
A picture of a goggled-Amare going for a block, but didn’t think the boy would be too excited. I guess I’m part of the problem

Wow, glad to hear you caught it early
Best of luck. Wearing glasses is not that bad and it was a great idea to show him a picture of Amar’e.
