Batum is
the snails-eating version of Scottie Pippen. He will be with the blazers a long, long time. After Bayless got all the attention before last year as our best rookie, Batum was the one who impressed BRoy and earned a starting spot over Outlaw. All he needs is more confidence in his game (shooting the 3) and perhaps some better handles. Batum and Rudy will be 2 of Andre Miller’s favorite players to run with as well.

I wanted Batun
I thought he was a top 10 player that wasn’t going to be available, so my second choice was Speights. I guess Batun slid because he was so young.

I also liked McGee
but I think that if we hadn’t taken Lopez, he may not have been picked in the first round. Kerr was the only GM ihnterested in him.
