Are you trying out?

Or covering?

No longer full-time blogging at Ridiculous Upside, but still go check them out since I made them. Kind of.

Me?

Didn’t we just have a conversation about how old I am?

We are covering but we do have a little surprise we are working on as well for someone trying out :)

I believe there's a precedent

to older guys covering D-League tryouts.
I don’t expect you to make the team, obviously, but it’d be fun to watch you try.

No...trust me it would not be fun

I would be puking after about 5 minutes although I did win a media shooting contest with the Mercury before the season. Me and Ben York from Fanster were partnered with Cappie Pondexter. Needless to say I was the weakest link but I was good enough to beat those other clowns.

As for these tryouts – it turns out the Energy scheduled them on the same day as the Suns play a preseason game in Indian Wells so I guess I won’t be covering them but it does look like Dustin – aka Watdogg – will represent the Bright Side

I always wondered whether a Joe Schmoe who hadn’t gone to college or played in any league, but just happened to be great at basketball, could somehow get to the NBA.

(not intended to imply me—I’m not physically skilled)

It's Iowa.

And they pay <20,000, less than the WNBA, more than the Suns Dancers, but less than my student loans.

but mainly, it’s Iowa.

Who are these guys again?
