Hello. I have backed off the issue of Amare Stoudemire’s defense, but still think he will leave, for a simple reason: the money. He wants $20 million per, if I understand correctly, and Robert Sarver’s fiscal attitude doesn’t suggest that he would pay it. I personally would give Stoudemire his ridiculous $20 million if he becomes some kind of good defender, but even then, Sarver might not.

This did not have good timing. I don’t know anyone who wanted Steve Nash to leave, but if he had, the money would have been there for Stoudemire. If only he could sign a short extension at his current pay and wait until Nash’s retirement to cash in.

Hmmm...

Amare – I don’t read too much into it…alls I know is Amare is going to beast it up this year for us

Suns – look for JRich to have a good year and while it probably will be nearly impossible for Grant Hill to have as productive a year as he did last season, remember because of his injuries he doesn’t have the mileage other players his age do and at least Hollinger is with me on the whole Goran Dragic issue

Beasley – Rose aint looking like a bad #1 pick now is he?

Phoenix Stan – “assuming you aren’t rooting for Slovenia to actually win this thing”…was that a shot at Goran?

Hollinger? Has he said something about Dragic lately? When Dragic was drafted, Hollinger thought it made no sense.

Well of course

the Slovenian team isn’t as good w/o Sasha. I have faith in Goran’s potential but I am not blind to where he is in his career now

Just checking...

Thought maybe I read that wrong.

Reading through some of the Eurobasket forums most people thought that cutting Sasha wasn’t that big a deal, he’s apparently still injured but wont settle for a lesser role. As for Goran it seems he’s playing great ball on both sides of the floor, hard to find box scores but I believe he was the high point man throughout their latest tournament in Spain.

Slovenia plays this Friday and Sunday in another warm-up tournament, in case anybody’s interested.
