Jason Richardson suspended two games for DUI
The wheels of justice turn slowly....and certainly more slowly than the wheels on Jason Richardson's car.
The Suns announced today that JRich will be suspended for two games (without pay) for his DUI in January after he plead guilty to the charges.
Perhaps he needs to share his lawyer's and agent's name with Diana Taurasi who was suspended within weeks of her arrest.

You read my mind, man
those two games salaries plus the luxury tax could pay for health care reform for everyone in Phoenix…
=
those two games’ salaries plus the luxury tax could fund more bureaucratic waste by hiring a few dozen more drones for the government cubicles

Learnt from ESPN that
this is a league suspension and not a team suspension. I don’t know if that matters but… it’s good to know.

Is that the incident (there were two) in which Richardson had his son in the car, unsecured, while he drove at high speed? If so, why wouldn’t he deserve this and possibly more. His own son!

happened too late too
what’s the point of serving the time now…..if someone drives drunk in the middle of the season, they should be suspended ASAP. If they break the law over the summer, then suspend them for the first few games. This suspension is no longer relevant. Not that it will matter a whole lot, I’m just sayin’ that after this long, nobody really cares. Everyone would have learned more from the situation if it had been mid-season.

when did Richardson plead?
I’d say it should’ve come after he had his shot at due process. I don’t remember when he got convicted.

50% of his pay during his suspension dwon’t count towards the cap. Suns save $176,767.50c

wow...nice catch
I didn’t know that. Maybe the team should encourage more misbehavior as a cost savings move. Except for the whole “danger to society” element that is
