From the speeches of David Robinson to John Stockton, Jerry Sloan to Vivian Stringer, there was an unmistakable thread of peace of mind and purpose. At times, they were self-deprecating and deflective of praise. Jordan hasn’t mastered that art, and it reveals him to be oddly insecure. When Jordan should’ve thanked the Bulls’ ex-GM, Jerry Krause, for surrounding him with championship coaches and talent, he ridiculed him. It was me, Jordan was saying. Not him. Nothing will bring more fans than a championship
and that is why, we should have an owner who is not afraid to spend money to get talent. I am not saying that we need a $90,000,000 total team salary like the Mavs, but we need to have an owner that does not concern himself with saving money on salaries and making money off fans.
The problem right now is that even with the team we have, US Airways Center will still most likely sell out every game. It has been argued many times that the Phoenix Suns are in no way a contender this season, but the seats will still be full.
Now I am not saying to boycot the Arena, by all means, experience the thrill of live gameplay! It is amazing! What I am trying to make a point on is that until the team starts losing revenue from the fans, the owners will not do anything to legitimately make this team better. The other option would be to have a new owner who is not afraid to spend money to get the necessary pieces to make a championship team.
So who do you get?
The Suns payroll right now is $74m. You put $90m as the cap. Who do you sign this of season that you makes this team a contender?

I would not spend $90m, becuase I do think that what people like Cuban are doing is totally wrong, but there were various moves that the Suns could have made with Ben Wallace’s contract and Sasha’s contract that would have made us a better team. I would have liked the Suns to have done that instead of buying out both contracts for savings.
Totally not trolling, just here for the links. Thanks, Stan, as always. That Jeff Schultz guy is a moron.

i don't see what you're saying.
sarver has spent the money to get talent. he continues to spend the money. he (and the suns’ organization) have just been notoriously poor at developing (or keeping) drafted players.
this isn’t sarver’s fault. it’s not kerr’s fault. it’s not d’antoni’s fault. at least, it’s not solely any one of their faults. i’ll agree, we could have been developing young, promising players, but to call the suns cheap (or not willing to spend money, i think you said) is bogus.
