Bell on the block
The Charlotte Bobcats are looking to trade Raja Bell according to Yahoo Sports, and I was just wondering what other Suns fans are thinking of this. Of course he would probably never come back to the Suns but he'd like to return to a contender, how about San Antonio or Denver? Those two would be the most likely of places seeing as how they both have a need for a good defensive SG. Any input?

Possibly Dallas, but I’m not sure… I don’t think the Spurs would need him because they have Mason Jr. and Manu. He might be able to play off the bench somewhere like LA or Portland. He could be used as a backup 2 on a number of east teams too. in this point of his career, he’s not good enough to be a starter on most teams IMHO, but he’s a good defender to come in and lock down the defense off the bench.
I'm going to puke if he goes to Dallas, LA or San An
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
even a diminished Bell is probably valuable
Well, if he doesn’t hate the Suns for trading him, what if he did come back here? I know he’s a shadow of what he once was, but unless he’s become absolutely worthless, it probably couldn’t hurt to have him back.
New Orleans
They desperately need a SG! Thats all there really missing if paja becomes healthy!

Would that work? Bell’s salary doesn’t match Richardson’s; that’s why he was traded with Boris Diaw.

we'll take boris too..
we could use his size for sure..
I thought the Suns traded Diaw not only because he was overpaid but because he was lazy in every season except 2005-06.
that's possible,
but I always thought he was just deferring to amare or whoever else was clamoring for the ball at the time because of his personality. It’s no coincidence that his best year ( which got us to the WCF ) was when he was able to take on that responsibility. Don’t get me wrong, it drove me crazy too when he would pass up easy shots, but I think it’s a stretch to say he was lazy in every season..
Of course, I could be wrong, and it may be that he actually doesn’t care all that much..
the overpaid part is hard to argue with, but between Jrich and Boris, both of whom have large contracts, I’d still take boris..maybe i’m just a sentimental guy..
Sorry, no can do. The grass was always greener yesterday.

If that's a joke and not a typo, well played.
If it’s a typo, then roll with the funny you made anyway.
Raja and Felton
We don’t necessarily need Boris back. Does Raja and Felton work for JRich? Felton just signed a 1 yr deal I believe. Felton could be had with DJ Augustin there.
Well, I don’t want Diaw back either. I’d take Raymond Felton in a second. I’m vaguely on Goran Dragic’s side, but Felton would have to be a superior backup to Steve Nash, and possibly good enough to replace him in a year or two. This trade might be lopsided in our favor, considering that we would get a starting-quality point guard of the future, get back an ex-fan favorite with an expiring contract (I think), and get rid of a large contract. I’m afraid it would require the Bobcats front office to be idiots.

don't put it past them.
some front offices have made stupid, stupid decisions in the past. just look at the clippers.
though, i think larry brown still has enough sense to not let that happen.

Diaw was not used correctly.
Raja Bell is cool no matter what.3s and defense!!!!About Boris he is a 6’9 point forward. He is a rare player. He can handle the ball, shoot 3s, play any position, and yes he passed up on shots at times but be the supporting cast and understand how he has to look for the other guys to score he got used to that. But he took on the spurs by himself twice in the last two games against the spurs in the last play off round.Guarding parker and posting up hardcore on bowen,we could have beat them if we could have realized to exploit that weak mismatch from game one .When Amare was hurt that one season he filled in perfectly that was his breakout year.He left cuz he did not like the system implemented by Porter and so there were problems with Porter and his coaching.Boris loved Mike D’antoni’s way of the game and so he kind of acted up and left thinking this guy was the permanent coach, who knew they would get Gentry who would of known how to use him a lot better having been watching what was going on all through the seasons.Diaw now flourishes with the Bobcats and is being the player he really is all the time.I want him back in Phoenix.Both.We need a PG with defense with average offense and one more big.Blount maybe? Cheap $. He can hit 3’s if given the chance.

No Diaw or Bell
Please don’t talk about bringing Diaw back. I have never been so frustrated watching a player in my life then when diaw skipped around on the court and showed up for 5 games a season. I was so happy we got rid of him.
Bell is over the hill. His defense had declined lately and he isn’t stopping any big name players anymore. Ginoboli ate him alive last playoff series, his 3 point shot was inconsitant at best at this point in his career. He was good back in the day but not worth it now.
Alando Tucker
I didn’t realize Bell was that bad now.
I would really like to see if Alando Tucker offers much defensively. His chance to prove himself is no better than before, because he’s behind Richardson and Barbosa at SG and behind Hill (and probably Clark) at SF.
No Way Raja or Diaw come back!
The Suns are rolling with what they have. They are content with their current roster and will most likely not make any moves until the all star break, if any moves at all. Unless something Pau Gasol esc falls into their lap, there’s not going to be anything done to this Roster.
agreed, trade unlikely
There is probably no trade planned. What gave it away is that Sasha Pavlovic was dumped rather than his contract being used as a trade sweetener.
