so...I recognized Stan, but was Wil Cantrell in the pictures?

This season will be even better as long as I'm drinking while watching!

actually

Wil did far more Suns interviews than I did. I left early to go cover the Mercury and Fever media availability

I thought so but didn't want to presume anything

my main concern was that picture of the fanster microphone. Our news corps are clearly disadvantaged. we NEED a microphone with the little billboard on it.

Wil is the short, shaved headed guy.

Do you people work for the Suns, or did you all just happen to be off work and have the time for this?

Nope, this is a volunteer deal. Had to take a day off of work. But it was worth it.

Oh, and there are two players I can’t identify. Who would that be in picture 7, and who is uniform #55 in picture 9?

by Species8472 on Sep 28, 2009 11:16 PM MDT reply actions

55 is Earl Clark

who’s the guy in pic 8 though?

I guess one of em (pic 7?) is Zabian Dowdell

Whats up doc?

There are a few camp invitees
  1. - Carlos Powell
  2. - Raymond Sykes (image 7)
  3. - Dan Dickau

I seriously doubt any of these guys will make the roster. They are basically in camp to fill out the practice squad but of course teams often look to players they invited to camp if later in the year they need to fill a whole on the roster due to injury or some other reason.

A good question is where is Zabian. I should have asked that one….

I'm curious about Sykes

What position does he play?

Whats up doc?

by RottPhiler on Sep 30, 2009 5:00 PM MDT up reply actions

Sykes

is list as a 6-9, 200lb Forward who played 4 years at Clemson and was undrafted.

He averaged 7.9 ppg, 5.1 reb and 1 block

He’s got a high FG% of 58% and a low FT% of 56%

6-9 and only 200? He probably doesn’t have much strength,
