I just found this quote interesting!
If I'm correct, Marion asked in 2008 to be traded from a contender (the suns) because he wanted to have a bigger role in Phoenix offense. After two stop where he had a lesser role for a non contending team, and accepting a wage reduction, he accepts now a lesser role for a contender.
What a waste... we could still have him in Phx if he hadn't be so stubborn at that time...

Marion got manipulated by the greed of his agent…a tragedy for sure, but he only has himself to blame for it
