How did all you BSOTS'ers become the dedicated Suns fans you are today?
Were you born and raised in Arizona? Were you born in another state, but found your cities basketball crap and enjoyed the Run and Gun Suns? Or have you been a fan since the Connie Hawkins days?
This is my story of how I became a Suns fan:
In my country of New Zealand, basketball is not a hugely popular sport (at least, it wasn't in 2008 when I got into it), and I didn't think much of basketball (I played Rugby). I was on a 3 hour bus trip to a school camp, and a Filipino boy in front of me was playing NBA Live 08 on his PSP. I asked for a turn, and after playing it, I thought, hmmm, not bad.
When we got back from the camp, I took myself to EB Games, and bought NBA Live 06 for $12 on the old Xbox console (the original, not 360) and began to play. I sucked. So I picked the highest rated team, who turned out to be the Suns. And as I played with the Suns, I began realising that I actually felt . . . a bit of affection for them. So I bought the new NBA Live 09 for PS3, and began watching highlight videos on Youtube. The rest is history.
So, whats your story?
