Suns, Dudley Talking Extension
"We are talking and have been talking for a few weeks," Dudley’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN.com on Thursday. "They’ve made it very clear that they want Jared to be there and Jared has made it clear to them that Phoenix is where he wants to be. Whether that means we can make a deal that makes sense for both sides, we’ll have to wait and see."

Please oh Please
Sign our junkyard dog. Dudley is a hard working young guy with more spirit and fire than some teams. He has added some repertoire to his game and still has a few years before he hits full potential. I would say 3 yrs at 10+ million. Maybe more. Let’s keep this young talent around.

With Clark on his way out
It would seem the Suns made their choice in what appeared to me to be an either/or situation.

still seems like the lack of an extension is a way to motivate Clark...
not sure if it will work, though. don’t know what will light a fire under him short of a nuclear blast in shorts. i would really like to see him put it all together, but he just continues to under-impress :(

yeah, they made the choice huh?
smart choice.
I heard a recent comparison of Dudley to Battier. I like that.

If they had chosen Clark over Dudley
My head would’ve exploded. Clark is much more athletic, but Dudley has ever other thing in his favor in the comparison, and it isn’t even close.

Dudley is a prime example...
that heart and hustle are more valuable in basketball than athleticism and natural talent…at least when the latter is lacking in the former.

Great comparison!
Only better because he’s much younger…I agree that signing Dudley to an extension is huge for us. It makes sense if Dudley or Clark was an either/or situation, the choice was a no-brainer.

The best news of the month from far..
We need him here for long.
I’m ready to get a floppy start and that’s ok because we will see how much we miss Amare’s offensive skills but I’m not ready to loose JD next summer.
Go Suns!

Makes a lot of sense
Especially with the Suns new stockpiling strategy, we pretty much have to tie up a value guy like Duds.
You guys are really, really mean.
Me, too.
TRADE DUDLEY!!!
