When I look at the FanPost section and see nothing but fan-made trade proposals, I think the same thing that most of you possibly do: “Let's call up the front office right now, because this genius has just solved Suns only problem and also answered the question to Life, the Universe, and Everything! In fact let's throw him a a freakin' parade with cute little kittens and puppies leading the marching band of scantily clad ASU party girls followed by row of monster trucks driven by each member of the Suns smashing every single Lakers and Spurs fan known to man!”
Or something like that.....
But I digress. I was setting up my fantasy squad this morning and I was reading some of the player updates, including one about Troy Murphy – yes, I still have Troy Murphy on my lineup. You got a problem with my optimism about a recovering player?!
Anyway, the update said this: “He's healthy as far as we know, so his frosty relationship with coach Avery Johnson seems like the most likely culprit for Tuesday's disappearance. Murphy has strong potential if Johnson ever decides to let him loose, but at this point a trade out of New Jersey would probably be the ideal situation for Murphy owners.” (Rotowire.com)
Do any of you think Troy Murphy could be an asset to the Suns?
Personally, I've always liked him as a player - I don't really know him outside of the arena. He never returns my calls anymore...
If he were in a Suns uniform, I could see him playing incredibly well. He has great range for a big man, he can rebound extremely well, he's played on up-tempo teams before (Warriors), and he's in the last year of his current contract, so if he doesn't work out, there's no need to resign him.
Those are just my opinions, but I was curious to see what my fellow Suns brethren have to say.
