No Gasol then what about a JJ

Well as much as we would all love to swindle a "Gasol" from another team like our much hated rivals in L.A. did, that's probably not gonna happen.  So we may as well say adios to Kevin with Love, wish you would come further West Mr. David, and stop all this Joshing around with the idea that we gonna nab Atlanta's Mr. Smith. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but none f these are probably gonna happen.
Now what we maybe could look foward to is not a "Gasol Moment", but rather a "Joe Johnson Moment."  OK just follow me for a moment here. Remeber back in 2002, the Suns traded for a relatively unknown, yet promising rookie shooting guard. At the time the trade really didn't appear very significant; eventhough we gave up two veterans in Rodney Rogers and Tony Delk for Randy Brown, Milt Palacio, a first round pick, and the prize pick-up in Joe Johnson. Now of course Joe didn't set the world on fire when he first got here, but within two years he became a very important piece to the team. Now I have no idea who this young upstart PF could be, maybe Cousins from Sactown or maybe even someone like Spreight from Philly as far as that's concerned. That is up for debate.  I do however feel that this would be the best way for the Suns to move forward and acquire a soon-to-be great PF and in the process, not have to give up to much in return for the player.
