I'm Wink Martindale

So I was trying to think of ways to make the Suns championship contenders and I did it. Now I'm not one to brag but this is one of the better trades out there.

I think this trade gives the team the inside presence that they need to compete with the Lakers.Check it out:

Franchise Altering Trade

If you're too lazy for the link I'll break it down for you:

Suns receive: Elton Brand, Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry

Knicks receive: Grant Hill, Channing Frye, Goran Dragic

Bobcats receive: Garret Siler

76ers receive: Steve Nash, Robin Lopez, Jared Dudley

Why the Suns do it:

You know that enormous power forward void that Amar'e Stoudemire left when he began playing for the Knicks? Well consider it filled. Elton Brand is totally agile, athletic, and has no health problems. As an added bonus he makes 18 million dollars in 2013. That's what we call bargain shopping.

As for Curry and Brown, with Lopez heading off to Philly the Suns will need a center to backup Marcin Gortat. Why not make it a two-headed backup monster? Curry is well-rested from his 3 year basketball sabbatical while Kwame was the #1 pick in the draft. You know who else was the #1 pick in the draft? Tim Duncan, LeBron James, and Dwight Howard. I'd expect him to quickly be that good.

Obviously it won't be easy to lose Nash/Hill but lets be honest here folks - those guys are old. You know who else was old? Bob Hope - and he's dead now. Can't risk it.

No way the Sixers do the deal unless they can get Lopez/Dudley back but with the tantilizing prospect of Elton Brand awaiting it's hard not to just give them what they want.

It'll probably hurt to lose Dragic but he's not even American. You know who else wasn't American? Mussolini. 'Nuf said.

Why the Knicks do it:

Giving up their secret weapon in Curry is not something the Knicks will probably want to do but the idea of pairing Hill, Frye, and Dragic with their old running mate in Amar'e Stoudemire is quite a draw.

Why the Bobcats do it:

I'm pretty sure the Bobcats are having attendance problems...easiest way for them to fix that is to unleash Garret Siler's sexy eyes on the Charlotte public. Pretty soon Bobcats games will be more like Cougar Dens. Or something.

Why the 76ers do it:

They need a backup for Jrue Holliday and though he's aging - Nash can probably do that. Fortunately for them his contract expires after 2012. Lopez allows them to shift Spencer Hawes to power forward while Dudley will bring team chemistry together.

What do you guys think? Should we do this deal?
