i think all the deals out there for amare are soft ish and we should keep him until the end of the season.
then i came accross the following article and read the last bullet point
out of all the people we have been linked with like beasley, igoudala etc i think we should go after Luol Deng, did some research and his contarct is
(2010)$10,365,000 (2011)$11,345,000 (2012)$12,325,000 (2013)$13,365,000 (2014)$14,275,000
his career numbers are 15 and 6 and this season he is avergeing 18 and 7
my trade proposal (works on trade machine) is Amare for Deng and Thomas
Thomas is a bit of a head case at 13 but is a PF at 6,10. see what he is like for the rest of the season is he does well sign him for less but i am not really bothered if he stays or goes.
this trade would put Chicago over the tax level so send T.Griffin to Chi for Devin brown(expires this year and works on trade machine) and chicago would be under the tax level with 13 players.
i know what you guys are saying he plays SF where we have Grant starting and Dudley and Clark waiting in the wings. but i would start with Nash JRich Deng Thomas Lopez and bring on Dragic Hill Dudley Frye Admunson.
Deng would beign some defensive presence probably the best defender we have onteh team(better than grant even though i love grant).
maybe start him at some PF he is 6,9 but at 25 i think he is a good investment with our young squad and has a decent contract.
What do you guys think of Deng on the team?
is he the best/realistic piece we can get back for amare?
