Let's go Suns

5 game winning streak would be a phenomenal thing to get. WE CAN DO THIS!

by Willman on Feb 5, 2010 7:55 PM MST reply actions

thats what I'm talking about

a nice win streak heading into all star break. Get rested nicely and get everyone in the right places, we’ll be on fire after the break.

by KnowGood on Feb 5, 2010 7:57 PM MST up reply actions

I want to see Nash make an example of everyone that tries to guard him.

Not that he doesn’t do that anyway, but still…I want to see him put on a clinic.

I know early on this season alot of us hoped he could be this kind of player.

no one

i remember the overwhelming chorus of ‘boos’ that rained down at the official suns draft party when he was selected (i was one of them)

glad to see him playing so well…big guys need time, and being away from Shaq has likely allowed him to play his own game rather than whatever Shaq was trying to get him to do.

Few obersvation about...you know...that game

1) Since the Suns have ditched the zone D they are playing better D
2) The offense these days has a lot more complex sets with picks, dives and plenty of off the ball movement. Gentry coached in Detroit. It looks like those kinds of plays
3) The Nash/Robin middle pick and roll with Amare curling and trailing is awesome and is a play the Suns used to run with Diaw as the trailer. Its a three-man / two-man game

They often out rebound teams but...

It isn’t always good. when you shoot over .500, the other team often doesn’t have a lot of defensive rebounds. I always look at how many ORB we give up – that is the key for us, rebounding on the defensive end.

Sweet J from Goran

I am so impressed which his mid-range game development

He really wasn’t a shooter in Europe. He said he could get to the rim whenever he wanted and no one could block his shot. He’s only added the mid-range and long range shooting over the last year. That’s so impressive when you consider how fast he’s improved…

Makes you wonder where the upside really is?

by Hawk42 on Feb 5, 2010 10:42 PM MST reply actions

The Mavs are my home team. I love them but to quote Mark Cuban, “we suck” right now. At least the Suns are having a good stretch. I wonder who Iggy would fit better on – the Mavs or the Suns…

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 10:45 PM MST up reply actions

Mavs stink. Cuban sucks.

April 29, 2008 Total Eclipse of the Sun. Is the sky falling?

lol. You guys prefer Sarver over Cuban?

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 10:50 PM MST up reply actions

I would hope so. He’s been great for Dallas. If Sarver were half the owner Cuban was, I think the Suns would have a couple of a championships by now.

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 11:12 PM MST up reply actions

Howard and Marion aren’t working so good right now, so I doubt Iggy and Marion would work.

Good game out there. 5 in a row!

by Beavis 25 on Feb 5, 2010 10:49 PM MST up reply actions

Marion has actually been what most Mavs fans expected of him – a solid role player that plays good defense with efficient shot selection.

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 10:51 PM MST up reply actions

I’m talking about the combo of the two players.

by Beavis 25 on Feb 5, 2010 10:52 PM MST up reply actions

Ah, well then you’d be correct, although this is mostly because they haven’t been able to play much together as originally planned since Howard has been slumping.

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 10:53 PM MST up reply actions

Which is why I don’t think getting Iggy would solve their problems. Cuban is committed to making his team better and I like that about him, but he can’t just make a trade to make a trade.

Plus, if Amar’e does go I want the Suns to get Iggy in return, lol.

by Beavis 25 on Feb 5, 2010 10:56 PM MST up reply actions

I tend to agree with you. I’m not sure he is the best answer for the Mavs… I think he’d be great on the Suns next to Nash for sure though.

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 10:59 PM MST up reply actions

He’d take Marion’s role, but only he’d have less rebounding and more play-making duties.

by Beavis 25 on Feb 5, 2010 11:01 PM MST up reply actions

Yeah, although I have to say that I think you guys should only go for Iggy if you can’t convince Amare to stay first…

by Dragonshiryu on Feb 5, 2010 11:04 PM MST up reply actions

I agree.

Well, later.

Friends, sorry I wasn't here to see this great victory

I must say though, the best way to return home from the bars is to find the Suns having a 5 game win streak.

by Willman on Feb 5, 2010 11:27 PM MST reply actions

5 game win streak?

Let’s party like it’s 2005!

Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."

by rsavaj on Feb 5, 2010 11:36 PM MST reply actions

Just hope the headless management and trade fans just let the this team do it's thing

We should only focus on one thing.

Play-offs.

Let’s not jinx our team by predicting first round or second round exits…
