Trade or not to Trade that is the question.
What do you think about this trade

I know its alittle far fetched but it is an interesting scenario in any case. If there is a way to get out of JRich's contract then I am all for it. I like Amare, but in watching him play, I can't see him creating a shot for himself with some help from someone else. As far as his defense is concerned, this whole toreador style defense is not cutting it. I am tired of seeing it.

I’m sure the belief that Stoudemire and the Suns are playing a chess game of business negotiations is correct, and think he won’t be traded. As for Elton Brand: yeah, his contract is bad, but is he bad? I know he’s no LeBron James, for better or worse (better and worse, really), but if a player on a bad contract proves valuable to his team, how much can you complain about the contract?
I just remembered: I am sorry to see that there might be a developing trend of star players refusing to lose gracefully. I didn’t watch the Super Bowl, but read this morning that Peyton Manning pulled a LeBron by refusing to shake hands with the opposing players. Grow up, jerk.
Think you might be jumping the gun there species…
Peyton Manning is one of if not the classiest guy in the NFL. He is a stand-up guy.
If you listened to his comments he gave all the credit to the Saints players (no sour grapes etc) AND in addition he gave all the credit to Porter for the game changing interception and did not blame his receiver (Reggie Wayne), who by most analysts accounts made a blunder on that play by not cutting back inside to make a play on the ball.
Peyton Manning said he would call and personally congratulate Brees and Payton and I have every reason to believe he will. The fact that he didn’t push his way through hoards of media, cameramen and jaunt up to the podium does not make him a jerk. Maybe you’re jumping on the media contrived story (Peyton dissing the Saints) a little too quickly instead of examing the facts…
I would
Do this trade in a second if we couldn’t re-sign Amare although this trade is absolute crap from a Rockets’ stand point. They get two bloated contracts with players who are not even close to preforming at the level at which they are paid. The only problem we recieve in this trade is a loaded depth chart…which I know it sounds crazy can sometimes be a bad thing. If we did this trade we would probably start Nash, Iggy, Hill, Landry, Dalembert….that is not a good three point line up at all….Nash is the only player who is a reliable three shooter in that line up…Grant’s range is up to probably 20 feet, as with Igoudala who is more of a slash/driver. I think he has a career three point FG% of a little under 33. Our Bench would then be Gragic, Barbosa, Dudley, Frye, Lopez so Lou would most likely be the one who gets lost in the Shuffle. This trade works out for two thirds of the parties involved. The Suns get to reload and save money in the process…although with Landry being a free agent you have to figure he’ll be in the 8-10 million range. Philly gets salary relief in the form of McGrady and possibley Amare if they can’t hammer an extension to him….If not they get about 40 million in cleared up cap space….not too shabby. Houston basically gets two under achievers who will never, ever live up to what they make….although Richardson would be a nice expiring deal to move next year and Brand…IF he can stay healthy and IF Yao can come back next year and play at a high level this team would be REALLY good…but that’s a lot of IF’s.
