Around SBN: Bob Sapp Denies Throwing Fights

(Pau) Gasol received a Flagrant Foul 1 after league officials reviewed the foul in which Gasol struck Amundson's head during Friday night's game. The play led to Gentry's ejection and a $25,000 fine for the coach.

Of course, that flagrant couldn't have come DURING the game.

Which could have easily given us the advantage. We get the free throws, Gentry doesn’t go bananas on the officials, and we get possession. I don’t see how such a clear call was so clearly missed.

I’m still not cool with the fact that that wasn’t called.

Stuff like this happens a lot in the NBA...

I guess we just get more than our fair share of it…

[sigh] I listened to the game on the radio, but I later heard it described as though it was murder one, not flagrant one.

Crap

If called in the game it would have really helped… Oh well.. (sigh)

Wow.

Consistently inconsistent.

Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
