Lopez Flagrant upgraded to 2
This was clearly a flagrant 2 by Robin and he should have been ejected. Two hands on the back while AK was in the air. No play on the ball. Can't have that.
Gentry said they talked to Robin about the play.

on this foul
i like lopez, I like that he’s not soft. We needed this type of player badly. But when you see a foul like this, it’s pretty clear Lopez got caught up in the moment and did something pretty stupid, hopefully Gentry does more than talks to him, but actually practices what to do if this situation presents itself again. That’s what matters. To go for the ball.
If he continues doing things like this, I’ll have a different opinion. But the Suns needed a big tough athletic big man badly. As Barkley says, the suns have been playing soft for a few years. Shaq changed that briefly, but didn’t have the athleticism to do it on the level he used to. But Robin can move, watch him run down the court! The best 2 things to come out of this season are dragic and lopez. And a lot of that has to do with Gentry giving them the chance and being on a team that’s not super selfish (assist to nash and hill and others on this)
You know, there might be more to this than we know. Think of Kobe and Raja Bell and Raja clotheslining Kobe. On the play before, if I recall, Kobe did something really messed up to Raja, a knee to Raja’s groin or something. If something like this happened, which is possible.
I think it was merely Lopez pissed at himself for throwing a terrible pass.
And then taking out his anger on Kirilenko on the other end.
We all know Robin has a pretty short fuse, and while it’s been getting better, it only takes a second for a guy like that to snap. (I know…I used to be that guy. Haha.)

Too late to change the stupid twitter name. Did it as a joke to my teenager, but now I'm hooked on the news-feed aspect of twitter.
big deal about nothing
Hey, you see this play all the time in the NBA, all the European leagues and in college ball. It is no big deal. Lopez will learn to at least appear to be going for the ball the next time. LOL
You’ve got to like the fact that Lopez does not give up uncontested layups. The team is tougher and garners more respect and fear with Pez in the middle. He takes guarding the basket seriously. Good for him.
