The regular season is over. We have a playoff schedule and everyone has opponents. Before we get into that here is how we got to the finish:
Wednesday April 14th Western Conference Results
Dallas Mavericks 96 San Antonio 89 (Recap) - Gregg Popovich pretty much waved the white flag on this one before it even started by resting both Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. Dallas played seemingly regular minutes for it's guys and in the process sealed the 2 seed. The Spurs got 27/23 from DeJuan Blair (seriously) and in the process of losing made sure they'd get the 7 seed.
Golden State Warriors 122 Portland Trail Blazers 116 (Recap) - The Spurs had already lost by the time Portland took the floor, thus the Blazers took the opportunity to rest Marcus Camby and play Andre Miller just 9 minutes. Golden State got 42 from Stephen Curry and won the game - but it didn't matter at all. See you this weekend Blazers - I blame you for Terry Porter.
Phoenix Suns 100 Utah Jazz 86 (Recap) - Well hello there 3 seed. The Suns took advantage of a Carlos Boozer-less Jazz team and rode a 29-17 quarter to a blowout win. STAT had 20 to lead the Suns and Steve Nash played less than 30 minutes for the 2nd consecutive evening. Winning rocks. What a fun season.
