FanPost

Greetings from LA

Hey everyone! I just recently joined BSotS, and I've gotta say I love being able to hear some input from fellow Suns fans. As a lifelong Suns fan living in LA, I don't get much exposure to much Suns talk. In fact, this time of year, its all Lakers, Lakers, Lakers, Dodgers, and more Lakers. Anyway, that's not the point of this post. Since I figure most of you are from Arizona, you might like to know that out here, we're getting absolutely NO respect. The most gracious people are calling for Lakers in 5. Sports talk hosts are giving their early analysis on how the Lakers match up...with Cleveland and Orlando. Its gone past confidence to plain arrogance. Many are expecting them to walk over the Suns like they did with Utah.

I just don't see that happening, especially not with this team. They seem to thrive off being the underdog. Personally, I can very much see Phoenix rolling into Game 1 the more motivated team, jumping out to an early lead, and eventually stealing the game. I think the factor most people seem to be overlooking is Channing Frye. Even if he doesn't shoot a single 3, he'll draw one of LA's shot-blockers out of the post, opening up the lane for Nash and Amare to pick them apart. I couldn't call myself a Suns fan if I didn't pick them to win, so I'll say Suns in 6.
