Lets talk about Shaq baby!

Shaquille O'Neal, maybe the greatest center of the last two decades just might be .... well .... done.

Star-divide

Do you think we saw his last game or will the Diesel come back for another season? With or Without LeBron?

What other teams would have a use for an old Shaq? How much would you offer if you were a GM?

If he is done, do you think he will attempt a broadcasting career?

Questions, Questions, Questions...

What do you think?

According to ESPN.com, he wants to continue.

Assuming LeBron stays in Cleveland, I think they should re-sign Shaq at the veteran’s price, which is about 3-4 mill per year like what Grant Hill is getting. He could’ve done well this season for the Cavs but Mike Brown is a terrible coach who doesn’t seem to have any halfcourt sets for this clearly halfcourt team. If they can hire a good coach that preaches both offense and defense (i.e. Jeff Van Gundy or Byron Scott), they could utilize Jamison and Shaq better. It wouldn’t just be LeBron going 1 on 5 or Mo Williams dribbling around like a mad man and shooting like a gunman.

In Nash I Trust! Steve Nash DOES play defense, foo!

I disagree, jamison was never going to be of real value to them especially with j.j hickson playing great basketball before the trade.

Mike brown should definitely be fired, shaq should NOT be resigned. Let the cavs get a quality big man or in the draft so that they NEVER have to play varejo at the center position at crucial parts of a game. The cavs got molested by Kevin garnett because shaq is a lazy fat bastard that refuses to play defense in his old age, so their is a real need for a defensive-minded 7ft big man. Anderson varejo is good at center occasionally, but antwan jamison is NOT a defensive stopper and will continue to get owned by bigger pf’s. That is where J.J hickson can come to the rescue in that he is athletic, versatile, and most of all can play the center without being sorely beaten. Hickson played tremendous D on kevin garnett during the regular season and his athleticism gave the celtics fits. If Illgauskis retires andy varejo can play either c/pf; i would make him play the pf because hickson did a fantastic job at playing center when shaq sat out. This sends jamison to the bench adding to it a potent scorer AND rebounder that can stretch the D. If the cavs DO draft a big man then it relieves the cavs number one priority with shaq and possibly illgauskis’ retirement. A quality center provides a solid future for the cavs as they have an up and coming hickson, what is more is that the bright future that is at hand could possibly lure lebron back for one more season; next season that is. It all depends on the drafting of a center because this time was geared to win a championship, but the celtics got lucky and were able to exploit some flaws that were subtle for most of the season, but became alarmingly apparent; they expected to win a championship relying heavily on two guys on the wrong side of thirty and had injury plagued seasons to further diminish their values

Part of the reason the cavs got molested by KG

is that Brown had shaq guard him while Jamison took Perkins, creating two matchup problems for the cavs and involving Shaq in several Rondo/KG pick n rolls. If Mike Brown isn’t fired i can’t see any way Lebron stays, to be honest i thought he was gone last year when he subbed out varajao (the cavs best defender against rashard lewis, who everyone knew would get the ball) for ben wallace (an old, slow, injured, useless, decrepit ex dpoy) to guard rashard lewis with about 3 secs left in the cavs elimination game against the magic in the ecf, then Lewis went ahead and drained a three with wallace puffing and wheezing about 10ft from him, game over cavs eliminated.
