The Phoenix Suns have always had great point guards. Kevin Johnson, Elliot Perry,Jason Kidd,Stephon Marbury, Steve Nash. And Now I think we should Add Goran "the Whole Damn Show" Dragic. The Point Guard position in my opinion is the most hardest position in the NBA. Like the Quaterback position in the NFL, point guards have to have excellent ball handling, be aware of other defenders around him trying to steal the ball, great playmaking skills, precision passing, and a clear vision of your teammates on the floor.
I can't remember the last time the suns have had a bad point guard, beside the time when we trade Marbury to the Knicks and the Suns went through a major slump but then were saved by our Lord and Savior Steve Nash. Point Guards were never a problem for the Suns IT WAS CENTERS.
After watching Game 3 in Amazed and Disbelief, and watching Steve Nash giving Goran Dragic a Hug (Teardrop) I sat back in my chair and said under my breath "It Looks Like the Suns scored another good Point Guard." I have always had this theory that "YOU ARE NOT A GOOD PLAYER UNTIL YOU DO SOMETHING IN THE PLAYOFFS." And My God Goran Dragic did just that. Now Remember when Leandro Barbosa in game 7 against the Lakers in the 05-06 Playoffs (otherwise Known as the Year without STAT) and he went on a scoring run and the suns went onto winning the game. That was considered his breakout game and he went on to become the suns sixth man. Now in the 09-10 Playoffs Game 3 against the SPURS, Goran Dragic scored 23 points all in one quarter and single handly DESTROYED THE SPURS.
ISN'T FUNNY HOW TWO FORMER SPURS DRAFT PICKS COME BACK TO BITE YOU IN THE ASS.
