ESPN, while you're talking about No-No's we're saying "NOOO, NOO, NO!" (via i175.photobucket.com)
For basketball addicts, the time directly after the NBA Playoffs have ended can be the most difficult. However, in the next few minutes I will outline the 12-step program to becoming cured of your despair. I'll admit it, though: It's easy to be depressed right now.
From the ESPN homepage focusing on baseball, to everyone talking about soccer (this is a game where you can watch for 90+ minutes for a tie, right?), it's easy to forget that we have much to be excited about.
Because you're reading this right now, I deem you to be enough of an addict to join me after the jump.
1. Admit it! The cliche'd step 1 to recovery is to admit that you have an addiction. And, well, that's fairly obvious for us SB Nation Gangstas. So, well, that was easy.
2. Learn to accept your addiction. But don't only accept it, foster it. Treat it with care and feed it regularly. Use the regular posts here at Bright Side of the Sun to help nurse your constant desire to read something, ANYTHING about the Suns and the NBA.
3. Visit Steve Nash's Youtube Page. Get caught up on Suns shenanigans, from Bar'bo'sa to Steve's "weak stream". Yep.
4. Check "The Onion" regularly to read about how dumb all the other sports are (and the Lakers and Celtics, obviously).
Difficult question to answer, surely. (via i175.photobucket.com)
5. Stay tuned to Bright Side for more draft previews and other news. Make it your damn Home Page already, ok? You know you start here anyway. Q: hey aren't we glad that we aren't picking 14th this year? A: yes, yes we are.
6. Follow all of the "Summer of LeBron" gossip. Wow, OK seriously?! I'd rather be forced to watch the entire World Cup.
We can take solace that the NBA Summer League will be starting soon, the NBA Draft is coming up, and there will be plenty of free-agency talk, as well as some mixing around of our own Suns team (via rumors that I am sure we have all heard regarding Mr. Avatar and Lightning Lou).
Have a great Summer, everyone.
