The biggest selling point the Suns have as far as I'm concerned is Aaron Nelson. The guy has brought back in insane amount of careers from the grave.
The Suns should have some cap room to spare this summer as I expect them to allow Frye and Amundson to move on in addition to STAT's eventual departure. There's a few guys I think should be relatively low-investment, high-reward pickups if we can let Nelson have a crack at keeping them healthy:
That's not to say that these guys have their careers in the graves, but they have all struggled with ailments in recent years, which has driven their value way below what it otherwise would be.
The Suns already have a great new core in Goran, JD, Clark, and Lopez. All they need is to keep enough good role players around to give them a punchers chance like they had this year. I think all of these guys could provide that kind of much needed role. I'd really love to see Chandler in particular if he could be had on the cheap. He'd be a much nicer option coming off the bench than some of the alternatives we'd had in recent years.
