Anyone else worried that we are going into the biggest free agent period ever with no GM?
So we are going into the biggest free agent free-for-all like ever here in a couple days. And we have no GM. Only Robert Sarver and Alvin Gentry being dragged along into it.
That's not a great selling point that our GM and his assistant both decided to step down. That means they both wanted to do something else, as in something else is more preferable to being a GM of a professional basketball club. Granted Kerr, I kinda understand, broadcasting ain't a bad gig either, especially if they are going to give him Doug Collins' "Lead Analyst" job.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that it doesn't reflect good on the franchise that the Suns are headed into this period with the owner out front. If I was a free agent, I'd be like "well they just had a great season but that was only one year after missing the playoffs. And I've heard nothing but drama about the owner, lets go see what Riley is offering in Miami (ooh capspace!)"
