Suns get trade exception for Amare after all? POLL

According to yahoo (means idiot in dictionary) sports the Suns managed to do a sign and trade with the Knicks for Amare.  Here's the url (links schminks)

yahoo news is as reliable as a mob witness, but if it is true it could help the Suns in a future deal (once they get a GM that knows how to make deals).  Let's just make Mark West the GM already.  He has some NBA karma coming his way for those hundreds of phantom fouls he was called for over the years.

David Lee and Galinari are out of the question, but the Knicks might throw in a draft pick or a solid youngster like Wilson Chandler.  A first round draft pick would be sweet because the Knicks will probably be in the lottery.  Plus they couldn't draft a beer at a brewery so what do they need it for?

The most important thing to come out of this is a large trade exception which means you can trade for a player without having to match contracts like you usually do.  It should be in the area of $12-15 million.  It doesn't have to take place all at once, but the transaction(s) must take place within 1 year.  Between now and February there will be dozens of great players on the trading block that the Suns can trade for merely a 2nd round draft pick.

Last time the Suns had this was with Kurt Thomas and they didn't use it because the whole point was to not have to pay an extra $8mil in luxury tax just to keep Kurt Thomas.

Will the Suns actually use the trade exception?  Vote Below!
