Trades to Cavs now possible?

Stay connected for news and updates

It's not entirely certain what Dan Gilbert will do here in the post-Lebron era.  Blow it up?  Retool?  Stand pat?  Build a team specifically just to beat the Heat?  Judging by that scathing open letter he wrote, he looks to be a bit on "tilt."  The Cavs are wounded, angry, and perhaps ready to make big moves.  If I'm a GM, these should be signals - it's time to go in for the kill.

So, how could the Suns take advantage with a smart trade with the Cavs, and their emotionally-compromised ownership?

I haven't even looked at the numbers, but I know for certain that I would want Anderson Varejao on the Suns.  I mean, forget the fact that he's a big 4 who helps on defense like mad, and led the Cavs and sometimes the league in overall +/-.  The main thing to consider is how much Fro Power he has.

Now, I know we have Fropez, and some of you are probably wondering if that isn't TOO much Fro Power.  Bollocks!  There's no such thing as too much Fro power.  And his fro is even styled into the same Sideshow-Bob look-alike hairdo!  Simply awesome!!!

What about talented headcase Delonte West?  Here's that wing defender so many of us have coveted.  And he can even score in bursts - bonus!  But, can we keep him in his right mind?  I ask you, good people, how could a move from Cleveland to Phoenix not fix all his problems?  I mean, Cleveland?  I'd be crazy if I lived there too.

So, cap crunchers and number junkies, what could we pull off with our big ol' Amare-induced trade exception, Leandro Barbosa, and (dare-I-say-it?) perhaps even J-Rich's fat contract?
