Yeah, Yeah...Ban me after you read the post...
I'm not an AVID Suns fan, my true team is the Rockets, but I do like the Suns and consider them my second team. I even attended two home games in December (win vs Lakers, win vs. Celtics) so I can consider myself a follower. Also, before I continue I'd like to say that I think Nash is and has been the best player in the NBA since 2005. You could call me a bandwagoner, I don't mind.
I think that if this team doesn't preform the way we all hope they preform, and we have no shot for the playoffs I think we need to trade Nash. Nash can give some team that needs a boost into the playoff or just a boost heading into the postseason a year or two while we got some valuable young players in return.
Think of it like the Astros. Lance Berkman was getting old, and he meant a lot to the city of Houston. But the team was struggling to score runs and we traded away Lance to get some younger prospects. Lance will most likely sign back after the season is over so he can retire in Houston. I think the same thing could happen to Nash.
What do you think?
Here are some possible suitors.
Portland (lots of young talent they are willing to trade)
Dallas (Rodrigue Beaubois + some others?)
Houston (Doubt it, but they are commited to the win-now and they would give up Aaron Brooks)
New York (Uhm...)
Charlotte (Need a point guard. I don't know who they could offer though.)
Memphis (Could be their push into the playoffs...)
Orlando (They were going after Paul....Nash is better IMO)
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
