Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Continues Rampage, New York Wins On Road

Jared had plenty of things to say after his first day of voluntary workouts with the team.

Also some interesting big-men where there as well and one said he could at least get a camp invite.

He said the big man looked good but still didn’t seem to be 100%

Greg Ostertag and Steven Hunter?

If I can’t get past USAC security with a fake press pass, I guess I could just join the team’s voluntary workouts.

Chucky Atkins too?

Not sold on Derek Anderson

I wouldn’t be either. As a browns fan I can tell you he sucks.

I wonder if Earl Clark worked as hard as Dudz in the offseason…Yeah right.

and Robin

Concerned, very concerned….After a whole Summer, still not 100%?

So Seth, how did he look to you?

looked fine to me

but I’m not on the floor with him…we are still many many weeks away from opening day. Wouldn’t read too much into it.

You should get on the floor with him.

You know, for journalistic integrity and such.

I got on the floor for a total of 4 min in a pick up game in vegas…my knee is still sore

yeah its too bad bball isn't like hockey

where you can sub in and out at any time…

yeah, but the tempo of hockey is much greater than that of b-ball

and its much more physically demanding, so if you’re stuck on the ice for longer than a minute you start wearing down, and fast. Can’t compare the two, sorry. That same 4 minutes of hockey would lead you to feel much worse. just sayin.

Whats the deal with Earl Barron? Why did the Suns have zero interest in a 7 foot big with rebounding prowess thats on the market when they were looking? I know he’s no taylor griffin, but is there something about him that turned teams off?

by Gildo on Sep 8, 2010 11:44 AM MDT up reply actions

haha yeah I was only talking about the in-game subbing

no way I meant to actually play hockey :) I was just imaging a great idea to be able to yell SUB! during a fast break so a fresh body can dart onto the court to finish the play while I stumble to sideline.

regarding Barron

he only played 7 games well last year. Otherwise he couldn’t get out of D-league and was unimpressive in earlier NBA stints. So I think front offices see the 11 pts, 11 rebs as fools gold.

The Suns like Dwayne Collins, and probably figured the 2 were a tossup in terms of talent.

word...

I didn’t see the 7 games, just saw 33 minute average… Is Collins ahead of Lawal in the depth chart at the 4 or is Collins possibly going to play a little at 5 as well? That what I thought we picked Dwayne Jones back up for…

by Gildo on Sep 8, 2010 12:12 PM MDT up reply actions

whoops

I meant Dwayne Jones.

no Collins.

how badly would seth get beaten if this happened?

Hopefully someone doesn’t tweet that report, the ESPN experts may move us below the Warriors and Clippers for their upcoming season predictions…

not below the Warriors and Clippers!??!

Well, at least he has some WRs that can actually catch. That's more than I can say for what he had in CLE. He did go to a Pro-Bowl for a reason.

But it’s irrelevant because the Packers are going to win the SB. No Kurt Warner doing his best Steve Nash impersonation to stop them now.

So Dudley lost some weight. Good for him. Perhaps his improved speed, quickness and agility can convince you guys not to trade him.

Don't trade Dudley!
