Proposed Trade with the Clippers

The Clippers are probably looking for a veteran presence to stabalise all their years of losing.   If I were acting GM, I would approach them with the following trade after the jump and guage their interest.

Phoenix gets:

Blake Griffin

LA Clippers get:

Hakim Warrick

Why Phoenix does it:

Blake Griffin, while still raw and improving, has a shot to be a star in the league within a few years.  He is a very talented prospect, if one with a somewhat suspect jump shot.  He also sat out the entirety of last season with injuries and his long term health, much like Yao Ming's injury history, is a big unknown moving forward and something any team would have to be aware of.

Why the Clippers do it:

Hakim Warrick has been around the league.   He has played for more than 5 different NBA coaches and can offer a veteran presence to help the Clippers get out of a losing culture they have been mired in for years.  Hak is known for his thunderous dunks and suspect jumper.  While Hakim's contract is longer term than Blake Griffin's and he's making more more per year, I feel it is something the Clippers must jump on.   If you are still reading so far, are you not entertained.

So what are you waiting for Babby and Blanks?   Get the Clippers on the phone and make it happen.
