So we made one trade with Orlando that I would argue helped both teams. Why not make another?
Why we do the trade: We need a PF. Bass could start at the 4 alongside Gortat. Frye could back up both. Each would play about 28-32 minutes and then for about 6 minutes per game we would go with a small lineup or play Lawal. We also need a third PG for insurance behind Nash and Williams would fit the bill perfectly and he's an expiring contract.
Why Orlando does the trade: Bass is not working out well for them. Ryan Anderson is the better fit. In the last game, Bass played 22 mins and Anderson played 19. They both had 14 points but Anderson was a +9 while Bass was only a +1. In the game before that, Bass played 21 mins and Anderson came off the bench for 23. Bass was a -11 while Anderson was a +27. Anderson shoots the 3 and spaces the floor around Howard. They have no backup center on the roster at all and could use Lopez to play 10-12 minutes behind Howard. They don't need Williams now that they have Arenas. They might not really want Warrick and might even do the deal without him, but we would want to get rid of him, I think, and he can fight for back up minutes with Earl Clark.
Should we do it if they bite?
