According to the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza a major fight broke out in a practice game between Zastal Zielona Góra and Turów Zgorzelec. 3 minutes before the end of the game (which wasn't open for audience) a regular brawl broke out between the players. According to sources Gani Lawal, who plays for Zastal, got provoked by opposing players and started the fight. He even managed to knock one player out.

Ronald Moore, a player of Turow who couldn't play because of his injury, described the whole fight on Twitter:
