How the Lockout Got Me Back In Shape

So I am just about fed up with all the lockout talk, just like the rest of the die hard fans and so I have been jonesing for some decent basketball to watch.  I get jealous every time I walk by a tv with football on or baseball, I just want my sport back.  However there has been some good that has come out of not having the love of my life to watch every other day.  In order to stay sane, or at least as sane as one can be, I have gone back to playing the game.  So I wanted to take some time out here and personally thank the lockout for sucking so much that it made me get back into shape.

Being a student of ASU there really isn't any basketball to get behind, cause really the last great player we had at ASU was good ole down south bearded James Harden.  And since I go to ASU I can be shot for even uttering U of A in the same sentence of the word "fan", I am stuck actually playing the sport that we all know and love.  So as of now I think I have lost or converted about 20 pounds into muscle, oh happy days I can jump again!

This leads me to wonder what it is that all the other TRUE FANS have been occupying their times with while a bunch of rich people yell at another bunch of rich people.  So post a comment, or a picture describing your basketball "time off".

Oh the good ole days:

glad you're getting back in shape...

I’ve been staring at a blank tv screen eating oreos by the truckload

but at least i haven’t seen Warrick try to dunk from the 3point line lately, or Vince Carter fail to bend over to pick up a loose ball

Or...

Vince Carter jacking up 3 pointers from 4 feet behind the line 30 times before realizing that he hasn’t been able to shoot all year.

Don't forget that he must fadeaway before shooting that 3-pointer!

As for what I’m doing, I just got hired at JCPenney’s because my friend talked me into it so that’s pretty much eating my time along with school. In the meantime, I hope to maintain my current belly because I’m honestly too lazy to burn it off or even add to it. So I thank great television and the season of great incoming video games for keeping my butt glued to a couch.

I will love Steve Nash... forever and always.
