It's Time for the Unthinkable

It's inevitable, the Nash era is (if not already) coming to an end, an ugly end at that. We as Suns fans need to embrace the fact that we are in for a long and painful rebuilding process, IF we continue on the path that we are currently on. Which is keep Nash and let him finish his career as Sun. As beautiful and heart warming as that sounds this is not by any stretch of the imagination a good choice for either party. Nash will become a hall of famer without a ring and the suns will be forced to prolong the playing of mediocre playoff missing basketball.

Let's face it the Suns are not exactly catch a star in free agency material, being as we don't have any young talent to attract ... anyone. so we need to look to the draft. which conveniently is STACKED next year.

With that being said how do we get a good draft pick? the answer is suck.. Suck hard! like last season Cleveland suck! YES it hurts YES its hard to watch and YES its embarrassing but what would you rather endure? a full season of hiding your Suns jersey under your dark black hoody in the corner of the bar? or for the short 66 game season that wont happen again for at least another decade. Yes it feels like 25 to life, but who wouldn't choose 25?

Granted the suns are pretty bad but not nearly bad enough to get that top spot as the worst team in the league. not with Nash and hill in the line up that is. TRADE THEM to a contender for draft pics and expiring contracts! for all they have done for this franchise we owe them the opportunity to win a ring. think about the legacy. Nash two time MVP from Canada wins a championship at 38 or Grant Hill defeats all odds and overcomes what should have been career ending injuries and wins a championship at 40.

This is a win win for both parties involved. well win and hopefully win later. but still that's better than the limbo we are in now.
