So it seems like the lineup is mostly set and the team is starting to come together. Still, there's that logjam of wings. And I'm bored here at work. So rather than actually, y'know, work, I thought I'd come up with a bunch of little trade ideas to alleviate that logjam.
And, hopefully, get back something good for this team.
1. Childress and Orlando's draft pick to Minnesota for Anthony Tolliver and Nicola Pekovic

Minnesota gets a quality wing, and subtracts Pekovic's slightly inflated contract. Phoenix gets another stretch PF on a roster that needs that skill, and saves long-term money on the deal (3 years away).
2. Hakim Warrick, Mickael Pietrus and Orlando's pick, for the bloated rotting remnants of Eddy Curry, and Anthony Randolph.

When NY couldn't get LeBron, they went out and got a replacement. If they can't get Carmelo, then perhaps they'll see just what they can get for that contract. Warrick and MP both fit the profile of a D'Antoni player, and the Suns shed a whole bunch of salary, and get a nice prospect in Randolph.
3. Robin Lopez, Mickael Pietrus, and Hakim Warrick to OKC, for Jeff Green, Morris Peterson's expiring contract, and a draft pick.

OKC is looking for a tougher presence in the middle, and could stand to get rid of Green with Ibaka poised to take over those minutes. Robin Lopez fills that hole. Pietrus earns minutes with his defense in OKC, and his contract is short-term, and we make them take on Hakim Warrick as part of the price of the deal. We get back an expiring deal, a draft pick, and Green becomes our new starting PF, with Frye moving back to bench backing both Green and Gortat. Spacing is improved, and Phoenix goes back to being a high powered offense with a bad defense.
Enjoy your Tuesday! Work is over!
