Joe Rogowski, Magic strength and conditioning coach, says the previously skinny [Earl] Clark has made quicker strides in the weight room than any player since Dwight Howard.
"I've never had any one make progress so fast," he said. "Earl's body is changing."
Rogowski said that Clark has put on "10 pounds of muscle" since he came to Orlando and now weighs 240 pounds.

but Clark doesn't like being a big man
He has no desire to bang under the basket, fighting for rebounds or scoring in traffic. He only wants to man the perimeter like a guard.
so why put on all the muscle? It doesn’t suit his mental game at all.
Plus, I’ve heard from other trainers that its nearly impossible to “put on 10-15 pounds of muscle” in an offseason, let alone 6 weeks midseason. Its likely partially water weight – maybe he’s doing less cardio in lieu of weightlifting.

Oh, I see. Lack of muscle mass has been Clark's problem up to now.
And now his added bulk will make him a productive NBA player. Good luck with that.

I thought I noticed that in yesterday’s game…now the question is, will he test positive for banned substances like Rashard Lewis did?
I KID!

I think
it would benefit Clark if he would play for the Wizards, Cav, or T-Wolves and get 30 minutes a night. Who knows?
he would be like
Al Thorton…talented but not a good NBA team player. At least right now.

He was listed at 240 when he was here
Was that just BS? But now he’s really, actually 240lbs. But for realz this time… whateverz.
Trade Warrick!!!
I always thought he was around 225 by his appearance...
He looked narrower and thinner than STAT when they stood side by side…
STAT may be gone but the Suns will rise....! BTW, If positivity is a crime, I plead guilty by reason of T-Bird...!
I'll be impressed when Clark is able to develope 1 oz of actual Cardio Muscle
Beware of the Anger of a Patient man.
why so much hate on young earl?
sure he had his issues, but come on, who doesn’t at his age… he never got 15 games with 15-20 minutes to show what he can do… I am not saying he would have been our saviour… I sure wish him well…
he looked agressive and confident y’day…
speaking of ex-suns
I noticed amare having bandages on both knees… first signs of knee problems? I don’t remember he had those as suns, say last year… at least not so often
Good for Earl...
I’m glad he’s getting his “man” body, but like Alex said on top, I really can’t see Earl ever being a punishing big man…It just isn’t his game (as much as I would have liked it to be when he was here).

And since he does not play often, he can just work out all day. He really has nothing else to do, and the coaching staff has been pushing him. I like Gentry, but he doesn’t seem like a grinder. Even Gortat said they needed to practice harder when he got there. Happy that Gortat is working out for you guys. Is he starting yet?
