Nets-Raps an update...

An update on my Nets-Raps interactions...

I hate pimping myself but if you would like to follow my goings on first hand and information I don't put in articles, feel free to follow me on Twitter @keiththejourno

I thought it only fair, after all the advice/abuse/threats that you gave me regarding my virginal experience of interviewing NBA players.

I've got some stuff up on the web already about what I've seen and done but I'll put one big post onto BSoTS after it's all over with all relevant links.

I'll leave you with this:

I interviewed Robert Horry today. Only for about 5 minutes because he was...well...I don't know what he was doing instead of talking to me but it involved sitting next to Mount Mutumbo.

At the end of the bog standard interview about 'what do you think about an NBA franchise in the UK?' and 'Are you looking forward to the Olympics?', I then spent the last 2 minutes doing quick fire questions at him. I'd ask him questions which could only be answered yes or no.

I asked him some basic questions just to get him into the swing of it and then I settled into some more telling questions:

Me: Do you think Miami can win the title this year?

Horry: No.

Me: Do you think New York can win the title this year?

Horry: Hell no!

Me: Should Blake have won the slam dunk comp?

Horry: No. There's a man playing on Friday who should have.

Me: Is Lebron the best player in the league?

Horry: No

And then I asked him the question that the whole elaborate game had been set up to get an answer for:

Me: Do you regret hipchecking Steve Nash in the playoffs?

Horry: No.

I ended the interview.

True story.
