Shook Ankles: Nashty Strikes Again
A friend of the site Michael Pina has started a blog called 'Shaky Ankles' which featured Steve Nash crossing over Chris Paul today.
It's worth a look for the memory and the reminder of how fortunate we are to watch this prodigy play night in and night out!

In other news
the Orlando Magic have taken a cue from the world of hockey and said they’ve decided not to shave their faces until their playoff run ends, whenever that may be.
So that's what was up with VC when he got here.
Go Suns, Packers, Jays, and Huskers!
Green Bay Packers: Super Bowl XLV Champions!!!!
Bir'ds Quote in that was suprising
High praise from one of the all time greats..
Also, for the bay area folks, if you missed the career retrospect with Don Nelson on CSN, they asked him who his all career pg would be, and he said without hesitation Nash. Not only that, he called Nash the best player he ever coached period.
enjoy it while you can, folks
Now THAT is high praise....
Nelson has been around a long time. Wow. Just wow.

Notable players Don Nelson has coached:
Bob Lanier, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992. Granted, Nelson got him in the latter years of his career, but still. Hall of Fame is no joke.
Chris Mullin, an All-NBA player four times (1x on First Team, 2x on Second Team, 1x on Third Team) and a five time All-Star. We’ll overlook the horrible job he did as General Manager of the Warriors.
Mitch Richmond, who has a slew of awards as well (six time All-Star, Rookie of the Year, among other awards after he left Don Nelson and the Warriors).
Tim Hardaway, who, if you haven’t watched any games of his, was one of the best point guards in the league in his prime. He was also a five time All-Star. Not bad.
Chris Webber. He’s still fresh enough in our memories to know what he did when he was healthy. Nelson only coached him for one season (well, two technically), but he did pick up the Rookie of the Year honors that year.
Patrick Ewing, for one season. The Knicks lost to Michael Jordan’s Bulls that year (as did everyone else) and Nelson was gone the year after. I can imagine it would have been fun to coach Ewing, though.
Dirk Nowitzki. Enough said. (But I’ll say more…NBA MVP, ten time All-Star, you get the picture. He’s still amazing.)
Any member of the “We Believe” Warriors team, including Baron Davis (who, when he gives a damn, is still a very good player), Monta Ellis (Most Improved Player), and Stephen Jackson (post Brawl at Auburn Hills).
Honorable mention: Terry Cummings, Sarunas Marciulionis (who had a short lived NBA career, but was awesome when he was in GSW), Michael Finley (when he was young and freaking awesome), and Cedric Ceballos.

So, for Nash to be at the top of that list is pretty amazing.
He’s got some pretty strong competition. But I would agree.

Funny story on that special on Ewing
When they brought Nellie into NY, the management asks him what changes he would like to make on the team. He says " may I speak freely?" they say " of course". So one of his concerns is that Ewing is getting older and they need to start looking for someone younger to trade him for.
Well naturally word immediately gets to Patrick, and from that point on he’s completely uncoachable and refuses to listen to anything Nellie says. Not long after, Don is shipped out.
Oh and something else i didn’t know, in his Milwaukee days, Nelson had a reputation as a defensive minded coach…hah!
i wish i could see a video of that.
i mean, he’s also coached Dirk. that is truly a great honor.

Man...I just love this guy!
I swear, I will always be a Steve Nash fan. My loyalty to him almost outweighs my loyalty to the Suns organization. Right now they are synonymous but if the Suns trade him this summer I will have a hard time not rooting for Nash’s team against ours. He has had a truly profound impact on my basketball life and I will miss him if he goes. Might go into a period of mourning and not watch basketball for a whole season.
