So i know its a touch early but things arent looking to good for the playoffs and the lottery is looking like its gonna happen for us this year.
So thinking ahead to the draft who should we be looking at getting?
I was thinking about it today whilst watching ncaa tournament and i honestly am not sure where to start because were basically needing at every position now, yes including the point cuz nash really only has couple years left tops.
Going off the mock draft and obviously depending on rest of the season we should have first rounds piks around 13 and 23. Looking at the mock draft its got us taking marcus morris at pik 13 i dont think this is a good pik. Yes morris was outstanding in college this year but his a 6-9 and thats generous 6-9 power forward that relys more on height and body size than athleticism, i can see that struggling in the NBA as i dnt believe 6-9 is really big enough for pf unless they have amazing athleticism.
I think wed be better off taking a kawhi lenoard or kemba walker at 13 or if we were lucky enough and jimmer or knight slipped them aswell. Phoenix really needs a young pg/sg or sf (leonard) that can create there own shot and be someone we can try make as our version of a roy or williams type player or even new face of the franchise. I know these type of franchise players come everyone once in blue moon but we let ours go in amare so we still need to try find another one.
Then at 23 we should look at taking Faried in my opinion, i know hes only listed at 6-8 as power forward and ive just said 6-9 power forward in morris is to small but Farieds rebounding ability is amazing and he appears to have better athleticism about him than the morris twins
These are just my opinions though, what does everyone else think?
