You know by my screen name that I live in the east San Francisco Bay Area, but I grew up on the west side of Phoenix. And, while you might recognize scenes like this from San Francisco,
where I live, it's more like this.
Napa? Pssssh. Livermore is the place for vineyards and wineries! I sometimes ride my bike past scenes like this and feel like I should have a baguette in my basket, making me totally French. But then I start to feel like Boris Diaw, am ashamed, and those thoughts end.
Anyway, we also have some Suns fans out here in NorCal. Who is a Bay Area Suns fan who is interested in meeting fellow BSOTS-ers for a game? The season is ending soon, so we don't have many more chances to make this happen. My suggestion is to meet up Sunday the 10th for a 4:30 game against the Mavs. Site to be determined based on input here.
Will the Suns show up to play that day? Maybe. Will the game be ugly? Fair chance of that. Will Steve Nash play? Who knows? But, "so what?" to all of those questions. We'll get to meet each other, put faces to names, and make smartass comments about random topics regardless. It'll be like a game thread, only using our tongues instead of our fingers.
It will probably make sense to do this in San Francisco since I think most Bay Area BSOTS-ers are there or close to there. Plus, San Francisco is one of the greatest cities in the world, so there is that. Who's in? Suggestions on specific location? I have a couple of ideas, but would love to hear what others think.
