Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Will Never Top Michael Jordan

Here Comes the Weird

In this summer of summers we sports fanatics have been deprived of any interesting news to latch onto for quite sometime.  In our loneliness we have attached to some pretty interesting stories without the news giving us things to talk about.  Here are a few...

Rucker Park

Marcin Gortat and Robin Lopez no likey

Ron Artest Being Ron Artest

Not to mention all the possible players who might play oversees, and Josh Childress screaming NOOOOOOOOO!  It's a sad day for the league when the best video report they can come up with is Josh Childress on players going overseas...no offense J CHill.

The list is fairly extensive.

Kobe Bryant

Steve Nash

Marcin Gortat

Chris Paul

Dwyane Wade

Carmelo Anthony

And the list goes on and on...most of them just rumors started probably as a joke by their publicist.  My favorite response in all of this, though, was FIBA who basically said "okay we will let you in...but only if you go back where you came from after cause we don't really want ya...we are just trying to be polite."  Overall this has been quite an interesting summer for basketball news, completely dead at parts while other days it seems that everything crazy that could happen is.

I am actually itching to see what the next story is...especially if the lockout works its way into the season.  It may very well become a basketball soap opera out here and with the players we have in the league right now...I would watch that.  Season twist Marcin Gortat is actually a fraternal twin to Dwight Howard, beautiful.

I am sure that I am missing plenty of great weird stories during the lockout, so if anyone has any please send the link my way.  Here is a little parting gift for those who want a laugh.

Links aren’t working…but other then that, thanks for the blooper vid.

"Maybe I’m old school," Nash said, "but I signed a contract to play here and I want to honor it. I feel like I owe it to my teammates and the city and everybody to keep battling until they tell me it’s time to go." STEVE (God of Basketball) NASH
