some of it was celtics swarming Defence...

causing indecision and mistakes..but some of it was sloppiness.

Didn’t really help that the refs swallowed their whistles, letting them mug us, and allowing them to really swarm with no consequences.

What is it about swallowing whistles in Boston, and Boston sports teams getting away with murder?

Don’t get me wrong, we must have benefitted from the no calls a few times, but there were quite a few plays where suns were just mugged and got no call, making you assume that the C’s got away with playing very physical.

by HarvMel on Jan 20, 2012 8:08 PM MST up reply actions

Thats the truth

These refs are gonna have to start treating Gortat like he is somebody. Gortat’s Defense was amazing.

A Lakers loss. Dwight Howard currently outrebounding Bynum and Gasol… combined.

agreed..

he is also a little sick…

Morris is a very promising rookie, but he is no, (not yet anyway) Tim Duncan or Derek Rose, who will just come out of the draft flying. Suns need to not hand over all of Frye’s mins to him just yet.

by HarvMel on Jan 20, 2012 8:10 PM MST up reply actions

Rotation is close to perfect.

I think Markieff is the perfect addition to the starting line up. His defense makes up for Stat’s departure. He need not take as many 3s

agreed...I do like the rotation..

Telfair has actually been quite good in his limited mins.. Lopez is also contributing and having Frye and Duds with the bench is a definite plus.

But it will be key that Morris can regain some of his very early season scoring..if he can do that, this will be a decent team to watch again.

33 points in the 2nd half

We need to amp our offense up somehow.

When you're an aging athlete, the first thing to go is your athleticism.

People forget Garnett’s been in the NBA for almost 17 years. He’s got a lotta mileage on those legs. The same applies to Kobe. They may still be play well and perform at an All-Star level but they’re shadows of their former selves. It just so happens those shadows are still pretty damn good.

Just because Steve Nash has that "dirty hipster" look doesn't mean he's in need of a shower. Steve Nash bathes in the tears of his victims on a nightly basis.

He is aging fast due to starting out so young..It’;s a testament to his desire that he has played this long…As much as I hate his ass, I gotta respect that determination…

missing Rondo hurt for sure

Their big 3 didn’t shoot that bad, its just how they play and the swarming defence of the suns really clamping down..

Ronnie Price needs to be nominated for the Tony Allen award this year…an unsung 1/2 that is really effective by doing all the little things, tough D, steals, hitting the occasional shot.

He doesn’t have the whole game that Tony Allen has, but he is working in a similar way.

by HarvMel on Jan 20, 2012 8:14 PM MST up reply actions

Grant Hill 9 points, 8 boards, 4 steals, 3 assists, 2 blocked shots. Yeah, he's old.

I couldn’t see the game. Can anyone tell me that Grant Hill really traveled three times?

As I said before he reminds me of Tony Allen of the Grizz and formerly of the celts...

does a lot of little things that really help, a serious pest and gets a lot of steals…Still needs to develop his offence to be as effective as Allen..

It would be just great if the suns could continue to get a decent number of steals every game…that has been really missing over many of the last years.

Actually getting a few stops that way, plus starting some fast breaks would be very nice.

so we would need to pass, Utah, Min, Houston who are all a few ahead of us already and are competent plus, we need to pass, one of last years winners…the grizzz maybe, but they look tough again and were top 4 last year…the clips? the Lakers
