Well, Duds didn't get 27, but he did good.

Best of all, we can say we swept the season series with BOS and NYK
You gotta love a shortened season for that.

Are you kidding me?
This was bloody marvelous!
It almost reminded me of Detroit Championship defense!!!
And my mind spins from all the different shots Gortat hit…

Ugly win, but a win is a win
1 step away from drafting high, 1 step closer to another pick in the teens with no playoffs appearance

some of it was celtics swarming Defence...
causing indecision and mistakes..but some of it was sloppiness.
Didn’t really help that the refs swallowed their whistles, letting them mug us, and allowing them to really swarm with no consequences.
What is it about swallowing whistles in Boston, and Boston sports teams getting away with murder?
Don’t get me wrong, we must have benefitted from the no calls a few times, but there were quite a few plays where suns were just mugged and got no call, making you assume that the C’s got away with playing very physical.
Thats the truth
These refs are gonna have to start treating Gortat like he is somebody. Gortat’s Defense was amazing.

You know what's almost as good as a Suns win?
A Lakers loss. Dwight Howard currently outrebounding Bynum and Gasol… combined.
Voted most likely to say "I told you so"
But Shaq said Bynum is the best big in the game!

Shaq would say I was the best big in the game
as long as it wasn’t Dwight Howard.

agreed..
he is also a little sick…
Morris is a very promising rookie, but he is no, (not yet anyway) Tim Duncan or Derek Rose, who will just come out of the draft flying. Suns need to not hand over all of Frye’s mins to him just yet.
Rotation is close to perfect.
I think Markieff is the perfect addition to the starting line up. His defense makes up for Stat’s departure. He need not take as many 3s

With Price playing the 2
Dudley is back to playing the 3.
And Hak has been mostly horrible at the 4.
Voted most likely to say "I told you so"
agreed...I do like the rotation..
Telfair has actually been quite good in his limited mins.. Lopez is also contributing and having Frye and Duds with the bench is a definite plus.
But it will be key that Morris can regain some of his very early season scoring..if he can do that, this will be a decent team to watch again.
Celtics are in shambles
I think Boston sucks but this was a good chance to see in the rotation changes have helped.
by Wolf Make-Shift on Jan 20, 2012 8:07 PM MST reply actions
That was fun!
Hill and Price with lockdown D
Duds with the timely shots
Gortat, WOW! Can you say Allstar?
33 points in the 2nd half
We need to amp our offense up somehow.
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
No we don't
with this kind of defense will be all right.

so far in this 2 game D streak weve played the crappiest guards in the league minus allen. if you think were going anywhere with no offense you guys are dreaming. morris is key

Not sure it's age

When you're an aging athlete, the first thing to go is your athleticism.
People forget Garnett’s been in the NBA for almost 17 years. He’s got a lotta mileage on those legs. The same applies to Kobe. They may still be play well and perform at an All-Star level but they’re shadows of their former selves. It just so happens those shadows are still pretty damn good.

KG has about 1.5 seasons left...
He is aging fast due to starting out so young..It’;s a testament to his desire that he has played this long…As much as I hate his ass, I gotta respect that determination…
Let's do this...!

missing Rondo hurt for sure
Their big 3 didn’t shoot that bad, its just how they play and the swarming defence of the suns really clamping down..
Ronnie Price needs to be nominated for the Tony Allen award this year…an unsung 1/2 that is really effective by doing all the little things, tough D, steals, hitting the occasional shot.
He doesn’t have the whole game that Tony Allen has, but he is working in a similar way.
Grant Hill 9 points, 8 boards, 4 steals, 3 assists, 2 blocked shots. Yeah, he's old.
I couldn’t see the game. Can anyone tell me that Grant Hill really traveled three times?

24/12 and damn good defense. Holy cow if we’d had home back in the SSOL days. Or even in ‘09-’10.

I am not sure how he and STAT would have operated together...
It’s always easier to second guess the past…We’ll never know how that would have worked out…

Remember how well Robin did with Amare?
Gortat and Amare would’ve been AT LEAST 5x better.

As I said before he reminds me of Tony Allen of the Grizz and formerly of the celts...
does a lot of little things that really help, a serious pest and gets a lot of steals…Still needs to develop his offence to be as effective as Allen..
It would be just great if the suns could continue to get a decent number of steals every game…that has been really missing over many of the last years.
Actually getting a few stops that way, plus starting some fast breaks would be very nice.

Nice game from a lot of guys..
Lopez and Telfair also had some moments…Brown hit a few shots. Frye hit a big 3 and played ok defence, Dudley definitely a nice game…obviously Gortat and Hill were very big…Nobody, except maybe Morris who didn’t do a ton, can say that they didn’t contribute.
Telfair did have 3 quik steals and played hard.
Seems to be the most enthusiastic of the bench at cheering also.
Telfair's a nice kid.
He is my new Dowdell. Except I like Telfair a lot more. And Telfair is better. A lot better.

lol
you notice that Howard had the same numbers as Bynum and Gasol put together? dont see Orlando making a trade for just Bynum now
sorry meant to have it here..
yes that is nice, as well….
but seriously how do we challenge for the playoffs…look at who is ahead of us..all of last years playoff teams, but you need to replace NO with the clips,
so we would need to pass, Utah, Min, Houston who are all a few ahead of us already and are competent plus, we need to pass, one of last years winners…the grizzz maybe, but they look tough again and were top 4 last year…the clips? the Lakers
ya it looks impossible wit hthe current team we have.
i say tank this shortened season and get a future PG in the draft. and go from there. hopefully by the time we are good again (2-3 years) the older teams will be were we are now
Game recap is up.
